Let's see what has happened this week.
A lot of us have learned to Blog! Maybe since we have learned how to use comments, next month we can comment more and have less individual posts. Or we can continue to have lots of posts. It would be nice if the site was smart enough to know what we had already read and what we haven't.
A lot of us are trying to put some effort in to walking or running. Some will do all or part of the Triple Crown of Racing (Anthem 5k (3.1 miles), Rodes 10k (6.2 miles) and Papa Johns 10 miles). Mike will be doing the FULL Meijer Marathon and some of us will do the Meijer Mini. These are on April 26th which is also Wyatt's First Communion. The race starts at 7:30 AM and could take up to 4 hours (11:30). Wyatt's mass is at 10:00. I think Indy is on the same time now so we don't have that advantage.
I'm researching for other mini's we can all do because Terri has to have a goal. The Brickyard mini is already full so that is no longer an option.
I think Beth, Debbie and Heather all have new shoes. Barbie, Debbie and Heather all love our running pants and Jackie is trying to find them. The tag says "Nike FIT DRY" RN#56323. Heather has the info on them. I got them at Dick's Sporting Goods.
Charly and Ryan have set a date of March 7th, 2009 if Mike sends in the down payment. I'll let them post their "other" news. (But "congratulations" are in order I believe.)
The Chili fest was very good except that I ate too much. We had chili just like mom use to make, white chili and vegetarian (black bean and jalepeno's no meat) chili. Everything was good and we should do it again. I think we need to get someone's Wii and hook it up next time. Beth did you use Mom's TimeSaver cake recipe and then just make it in a jelly roll pan?
David is still hobbling around with his bad ankle, but hopes to be playing basketball soon.
Reese's papers are to have been served so Jeff and Cheryl should know soon if they were delivered. I don't remember the next step after delivering the papers. They are figuring the guy won't be found to sign for them.
I've started back to school but am only taking one class since I'm still working 50 hours a week.
And that's been the week as far as I know it.

After the papers are delivered Keith (biological father) will have 20 days to respond. During this time a confidential letter will be sent to the state and the Judge by the lady who is doing the home study. She will also visit the house again. Our attorney will request a court date. He said that would take around 30 days. Once the date is set, we go to court. We will receive a new birth certificate with our names on it at that time.
Before this can happen though we have to wait for the response from Keith. If Keith does not sign for the papers we will have to get a process server from Huntington to track him down and serve the papers. Once served, our attorney will receive notice from the server.
After 20 days if Keith hasn't responsed the courts will be asked to revoke his parential rights.
We will be so thankful when this is all over and we don't have to worry all the time.
On the other hand, we received a call from the girls tonight saying they will be in town the weekend of Feb. 16th and they would like to get together. We haven't seen them since Sept. and it's been nice. I don't know if they will ever go away. I guess a child can never have to many people who love them.
Yes to the TimeSaver recipe (the recipe is in two pieces now from so much use), but I have a recipe almost exactly the same for Texas Brownies - which calls for making it in the jelly roll pan
