Our CookBook

You can type in recipes as comments as I did below. Here is a list of recipes. We need to figure out Appetizer, Salad, Main Dish, Dessert, etc or Beef, Pasta, Poultry, Cookies, etc. And then the kids and everyone need to let us know what are some foods your mom or aunt or granny or anyone makes that you would want into the cookbook. Some of these we will have multiple variations, but that is good.

Baked Potato Salad:
8-10 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and diced
1 large onion, diced
1 large green pepper, diced
1 large jar pimento, diced
1 1/2 sticks butter, cubed
4 slices bread, cubed (torn in pieces)
3/4 cup milk
salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients in a 2 qt casserole dish. Bake at 350 for xxx minutes. (My recipe is smeared here, I think it is 1 hour and 20 minutes but not sure).

Caesar Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS

¼ cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (I sometimes skip this all together or just put a little – I use Italian seasoned breadcrumbs)

½ cup creamy Caesar salad dressing

4 (1/2-inch-thick) center-cut bone-in pork chops (just some pork chops whatever you like I don’t like the bone)

1 oz. (1/4 cup) shredded parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 12x8-inch (2 quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In pie pan or shallow dish, combine flour and Italian seasoning (I use bread crumbs I also double this part); mix well. Pour salad dressing into another pie pan or shallow dish (I just pour some I use more than it says above).

2. Dip both sides of pork chops in flour mixture, coat well. Dip in salad dressing, coat well. Place in sprayed baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese. Discard any remaining mixture and salad dressing.

3. Bake at 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink in center.
