I Ran!
I wasn't going to let on yet that I actually ran, but if I don't, no one will hold me accountable or at least ask me if I have kept at it. So I walked on Monday, ran (a very little) on Wednesday and then again on Thursday. So not quite a habit yet, but I did enjoy it. I am not in training, because as I said before, I can't imagine running in a crowd, or running so much it hurts or makes me sick or gives me a headache. (Or pay to run! Get real!) I volunteered at Fairview Cemetery this morning (in the office - I'm not digging graves yet), and have walked through the grounds there before, and thought it might be as good a place as any to run. There are hills, but I walked those, ran the flat areas (and again, not a lot of running, but it was running!) I wasn't totally comfortable there either (I feel vulnerable in the park - maybe it's the time of day I go - just seems to be a lot of men walking around - a little creepy). Same thing at the cemetery, I guess, since I don't know all the workers, just the superintendent. And you can be in areas where it's isolated - what "better" place to be knocked off than in a cemetery!? We'll see....
