My first post too - like Laura I haven't had a lot to update about until now either. I've just been slowly adapting to work and my new place here in St. Louis (no running, no houses, no engagements) and I figured that just wasn't exciting enough, so I decided "Let's go to Italy!" Actually, whats going on is that we still have suppliers for the 787 that are struggling and need help (similar to the one in Winnipeg), and I figured I'm still in a decent position where I can pick up and fill a one-year assignment that's open there, so that's whats going to happen. The length of the assignment is a little intimidating, and I think the only Italian words I know are foods (at least I won't starve), but I'm excited about the opportunity and I should get a few return trips throughout the year to break it up a little.
It'll be in a city called Foggia which is about a 2 hour drive from Naples and a little over 3 from Rome. I'm sure I'll be pretty busy when I'm there, but I should get some good opportunities to travel around a bit and see the country, and the idea of working on a new product in a foreign country should keep things interesting at work. I don't have word yet on when exactly I'll be leaving, but it should be relatively soon, these suppliers need as much help as they can get as soon as they can get it. So it looks like St. Louis will just have to wait another year.

That is truly awesome. The Nolan family is full of big news this week. How's Gary going to top an engagement and a move to Italy. :) Can we say family vacation in Italy?
Wow - that is just exciting!! Yep, I'm a little jealous :)
Jim, great news. You are really getting around the world. Such an exciting place to go. YOu'll do great there as your did in Winnipeg. I think its wonderful. I guess I should use "awesome" that you are able to do the job you love and get to travel too. Will miss seeing you at Easter, but I'll save your egg for you (it wasn't retired. Luv and good luck.
Believe me, guys - the eggs will NEVER be retired .... but that's just part of being a Day grandchild :) LOVE YOU, GRANNY!!
I'm running out of adjectives. You're moving faster than "Day Time" allows visits. By the time I actually get to take a real trip you will be back in Seattle.
I guess I better start planning now and maybe I will make it there. What a neat way to see the world. The contractor for the project I'm on has people from all over the world working for us. It has been interesting. It's a small, small world. (did I really say that?)
I'm so jealous, but thats awesome! Take pictures.
Jim,what a wonderful opportunity! Take advantage of any place they want to send you while you aren't tied down with a family. It's a great way to see the world. Best of luck!
