This was the first week of school for the younger boys and of course, Cole's first experience with "all day" school. It's lots of fun getting all of them up and out of the house at the same time-ha! It's all worth it though - I've got lots of stuff on my to do list and am looking forward to having more time to actually get stuff done. But of course, I've already realized that it goes a lot faster than I'd thought it would! It was a good first week, though the excitement has already worn off for Cole. Monday morning he was up and at 'em, but by Friday I had to carry him out of his bed and actually dump him on the playroom floor to get him to start changing into his uniform. Then when he didn't come down to eat I went up and found he had changed - but had also crawled back under his covers to sleep more! Everyone is doing okay though and we're hoping for a good school year. Cam's class has their "8th grade car wash" tomorrow morning to raise money for their legacy gift, and Wyatt has a birthday party to attend. Sorry, we won't make it for the reunion, but hopefully we'll be down on the 30th. Have fun.

I have had enough this week :(
My week has been crazy. Started back to school at UAB. It really sucks and I don't like the school. Today has drawn the line though. I went to my literature class to find out the bookstore told me to buy the wrong books. So I had to go back to the bookstore to just exchange it but they would not let me because I didn't have the receipt so I had to buy my correct book. I was so mad. Then to top it off on my way home and big o truck backs up into my car. The tears we flowing by then. The front of my car is messed up. The hood it bent up and my left head light is pushed in. Now I have to deal with the hassel of getting it fixed and taken care of. Is this week over yet. I least I have Saturday to look forward to. Mom, Heather, and I are going to eat at The Melting Pot and then headed to Sips n Strokes. Its are girls night out to celebrate my birthday. Hope everyone is having a better week then I am. Love to all.

Stuff from Indy
Hey everyone - don't know if this will work, but here's a link to the local paper's article on high school tennis. Conner's actually mentioned in there - though it's way down, they talk about Noblesville before they get into Guerin. Just thought I'd try to share it if anyone's interested. It's truly not much - just mentions his name. Cam's tennis starts next week and Wyatt is starting more practices for football. They are preparing for a "game" at lucas oil stadium during halftime of a colt's game - that will be on Thurs. night and will be pretty exciting for them - their team gets to play against the NFL mascots or something like that. Don't know how they got that deal, but I'm excited for them and hope someone will video it since I won't be there - only one extra ticket per child and looks like Todd gets that! Besides, it's also meet the teacher night and Cam has a tennis match at the same time - so still trying to figure out that "2 places at the same time" deal. Cole starts school tomorrow - first day of "all day"! We'll see how he handles it. Hope all are well. Love Terri

Barbie's week of vacation
I went to school from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri to learn Networking Administration and Technology. I installed M/S Windows 2008 Server and created my own little network. I came close to having to email Drew and ask for help when I had to write a VB Script but I managed. When you only get to code something every couple of years and you change languages all the time you can get stuck. And it can be a little embarrassing to ask what the syntax is for a write command. thank goodness for the internet. We actually got out of class at 6 the first two days and about 4 the next two so it wasn't too bad. The worst part of it was that I continued to work even though I was supposedly on vacation. I only actually charged myself 3 vacation days.
Tonight is my high-school classes Uh-Oh Five-Oh dance cruise party on the Belle of Louisville then Stevie Ray's afterwards. Should be fun.
I would say we should all party with Gary and Rachel for Oktoberfest but it sounds like they are having problems getting it organized this year. It was mentioned as a top festival on Good Morning America this morning so hopefully Schmidt's will get it back on track. I've been to Scmidt's once, and look forward to getting there again some time. It's an awesome German restaurant and would advise everyone to get there some time.

Yard Sale
FYI, we are having a yard sale in our neighborhood on Saturday. If anyone has anything they would like to sell you are welcome to bring it over. I am going to have coffee and end tables, a new kitchen table and bakers rack still in the boxes, and whatever else I find. I'm in the mood to clear out the house. It would be nice to just open the doors and let people shop. We have entirely to much stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Birthday to all of those with July and August birthdays. I'm not good at cards or phone calls any longer.
Pat and Paul, thanks for the tomatoes. Reese bites the ends off and acts like they are juice boxes. I don't know where she came up with that idea but she ate them that way all day long. I'm glad she likes them so well since they are good for her.
Reese went horseback ridding while we were in Wisconsin and loved it. She can't wait to go again.
I gave her the choice of swimming, playing soccer, or gymnastics when school starts and she said she wanted to swim. I was kind of surprised because I thought she was tired of it. Jeff wanted her to try soccer so she would be involved in a team sport. I still think she is a little young for sports or she hasn't been exposed to them enough. Now she doesn't show any interest. I have a feeling she will be more into the arts, singing, dancing or acting. Whatever she decides to do I hope she stays with it and stays out of trouble. I think we will have our hands full in more ways than one.
Love you all.

a little update
we have too many birthdays this time of year. thought we needed some updates. All I've been doing is working and watching my body fall apart since turning 50. Amazingly nothing is really hurting today. Was working until 1:30 last night (this morning) so working from home today. I am very bad at estimating how long it takes to program Tax reporting updates. Although my biggest problem is getting test data. Just caught myself looking at my laptop and typing on the home computer. I better give this up and get back to work. If anyone is out there having fun let us know so I can live vicariously through you. We need to know all about....like Drew and Jessica's European vacation!!
