Zoo Run

Made it through the (very unorganized) zoo 5k run. My hip starting hurting after a few steps, so most of the day turned out to be very painful yesterday. Heather of course had an awesome run. Will got his first medal in the kids run. Haley got to run against a llama.

Had a great visit with everyone. Can't wait to see everyone next weekend. Who is up for the Strawberry Festival 5k?

My new house

OK, so it's obviously not "new", but since it's new to me I'm still calling it that. It's in an area of St. Louis called University City which will be a nice central location between work, downtown, grad school which I hope to start in the fall, and other local hot spots. The previous owners apparently weren't very responsible with their money or the house, so it's gonna need a few repairs and a lot of cosmetic attention, but it also means I got a pretty good deal on it. I should close on it in a few weeks - I'll make sure everyone gets the address, and I'll be doing my best to get it all cleaned up if anyone wants to come make a visit.

PS - Granny, I'm ok.

He got another one...

another plaque that is. This was Spring 2009 8-Ball champions. They qualified for the tournament as a wild card, so they were very lucky to be in it. Tom of course played awesome in the finals. Tom is a level 4 and I think he was playing a 5. So Tom had to win 3 games before the other guy won 4 (or 5 not sure). They other guy won the break, but he didn't make any balls. So I believe Tom then ran the table. The the next game Tom got the 8 on the break (not easy to do). Then he won the 3rd game also...so Tom is now a level 5 also.

Not much else going on. Saw Haley's last soccer game last night. Went to Will's today, but he has one more on tuesday. The Stallworths drove down to the beach today (Dustin) and will be back sometime tomorrow. Tom's working tomorrow, so Melissa is coming over to spend the day with me. Okay, I'm putting her OCD to work and she is going to try to help me get the upstairs back in order.

Tom just got home from work, gotta go.

Everyone have a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Prayers

About three weeks ago a father at my school found out he had a tumor in his brain. He was having many difficulties and yesterday he passed away. Please keep his family in your prayers. He had a son (5) and a daughter (1). Thank you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDAUGHTER

Just wanted to wish Reese a Very Happy Birthday Wednesday and also have a great day at Disney. We love you, Granny Pat and Grampaul

lazy cat days

Aunt Barbie was on the PC all day yesterday so we couldn't get on to leave a note.

Chance has been a lazy bum since you've been gone. He got up when I told him Aunt Barbie gave me a bite of her tuna. Then, do you know what he does. He goes in there and climbs up on Aunt Barbie's lap like he has been her best friend all along. And then she gave him some tuna also. He was just all over her then. But then he left hair every where. The silly boy. If he doesn't get out to get brushed or petted of course he will leave hair.

Well we have to go. The power to the pc is about gone.

we will write again as soon as we can.

Quiet day

Aunt Barbie was gone most of the day. I about got Chance to come on out and explore a little but then she got home. He can be such a bore sometime. The lady likes to pet and well I don't mind it so much. She's just watching cars go around in a circle so I guess I'm gong to go find Chance and take another cat nap.

They went to Florida......

and they left us with a strange lady. She keeps trying to play with us. What does she think we are, dogs? How insulting. This new place does have a lot of places to hide, so it may be okay. We slept under her bed the whole night. She kept calling us. We just laughed at her. The dude who lives in the basement is up all through the night. We will have to watch him roaming around at night.

She brought fish home for dinner. The smell through out the house was wonderful. We both came out to see what was going on.

Well, I hope mom, dad and sister Reese are having as good of a time on their little trip as we are having.
