Jess and Twins Update
I took Jess in on Friday morning for a routine checkup on her and the babies, and the doctor decided to check her cervical length. He found that she was dilated between 1-2 centimeters so said we had to go check-in at the hospital to be monitored for at least 3-5 days. Since Friday afternoon, she's been hooked up to all sorts of monitors, an ivy, blood pressure cuff, etc. She's been taking Magnesium to help slow/stop contractions and hasn't been allowed to eat since the start of that. They'll be taking her off of the Magnesium tomorrow so she'll be able to eat then. Everything has been going well since and contractions have slowed down, but we don't know how much longer we'll have to be here. It could be a few more days or it could be a few more weeks. She's been feeling fine, just drinking water and ice. We just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and she's upset that she won't be able to make her own baby shower tomorrow. We still hope everyone can make it and enjoy each other and eat all the food that has already been made. She hopes everyone will enjoy the shower even though she won't be there. Will keep everyone updated.

thanks for update Drew. Sounds like you got some boys that are anxious to join the outside world. I will pray that they will stay patient and inside for at least a couple of weeks. I hope they don't share their twin aunts birthday, only because it won't be the best for them.
Jess is at 30 weeks correct? How big are the boys?
Tell Jess I'm sorry she's having to go through so much but I know she can handle it. I can't imagine not eating for a couple of days. but then, she may not feel like eating. I hear the medicine is making her pretty sick.
Please keep us updated.
Drew we are praying for Jessica and the boys. I guess they wanted to make it to the shower also. I hope they stay put for awhile. I know Jessica can handle whatever they do cause all you have to do is think of the babies and a mother can do just about anything.
Thanks for the update Drew. Let Jess know that the shower turned out very nice and it was good to see and talk to her on the web cam.Know she wished that she was there in person. Hope she was able to take some food today and not make her sick. We are all praying for her and the babies and trust that her stay in the hospital won't be too long, and that she will be able to enjoy her pregnancy to her date of elivery. Keep us all up to date, Please, Granny Pat
Drew and Jess, we have you and the boys in our prayers. Can't wait to see the boys but can wait until they are a little bigger. Love you all.
