It is 2011 ...... yea, another year!

This looks to be an awesome year for the Day Family. We are starting it off with 2 weddings and a baby.....could be a movie title.

Did everyone make a resolution for this year? I make one every other week....I'm gonna keep the house clean, get organized, lose weight, run the mini....etc, etc...which when you get down to it, I'm going to continue to live and and attempt to better life. Pretty much what everyone does every day, it's just with a renewed energy and feeling of hope at the beginning of the year. Actually the week between Christmas and New Years is one of my favorites.

Mike has been tracking Granny and GramPaul as they travel to Florida on the iPad. I believe mom was wearing green today.

Not much new at the Merten house. We hung shelves, and have been cleaning all week. Trying to get the house cleaned before school starts and I have no time to do anything again. Especially to do something I don't like.

Ho Ho Ho it's almost Christmas.

Mom asked me to post what is going on for Christmas.

Friday, December 24th, Christmas Eve
Bierly's and Murphy's will be going to mass at OLPH at 4:00 PM.
Murphy's are serving appetizer's and snacks at their house after mass (about 5:30), all are welcome.

Saturday, December 25th, Christmas Day
All will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Some people will be bouncing around houses celebrating at many places.
People should start making their way towards Mike's place around 3'ish, there will be a light fare to eat for those who want some nourishment about 4:00 but you can eat whenever, what is available is according to who is bringing what and when they get there. All should be at Mike's prior to 5:00 as presents will be opened then.

That's all I know, except that Mike is haveing a meat tray, Sherry is making potato's, I'm making baked beans. I think mom is making macaroni. Sherry's making a cheese ball.

This weekend.........

.......okay, Debbie is here. We are going to put up a Christmas tree tonight and just hang. Tomorrow I believe lunch is at Spaghetti Shop. Debbie was asking if I thought it would freeze so she could take some home, so I think Spaghetti Shop is it. Then we are going to do some Christmas shopping I think. Then if anyone wants to join us for supper that is cool. You can shop with us if you want but we do have a few certain things we have to do. We can decide tomorrow about supper. OK, she says I have to get off now. talk to everyone tomorrow.

I've officially lost it

For a couple of years now I've been asking for the remaining Harry Potter movies that we didn't have. I could only find 3 of them. So Tom goes to get the ones on my list that I said were missing....just to find out those were the ones we had. So he returns those and sets out to find the ones that weren't in the cabinet in our room. He came home, wrapped them and put them under the tree (he is more efficient than I am). He proceeded to give me a hard time about writing down the wrong movies on my list. So I went upstairs to the kids movies and grabbed the three movies we had...then went into the bedroom and found the other three. For years I've been complaining that I didn't have them all....even had me a Harry Potter marathon one weekend with just the three I knew of. Needless to say, he is making me return the movies he just bought...which he had to get at two different stores. Good thing I have long term care insurance...I'm going to need it when the Alzheimer really sets in.
