Wedding Hotels

It sounded like people were starting to talk about travel arrangements to Cincinnati for our wedding so wanted to get the hotel information at which I have blocked off rooms out to everyone. There are currently 2 hotels. I have contracts with both (non-binding), and the deadline to book at both is April 1, 2010. After this, they'll open up the rooms to the public and they won't be guaranteed any longer.

Wedding is at Hyde Park Methodist Church at 1345 Grace Ave. in Cincinnati, OH. The reception is at A Touch of Elegance located at 5959 Kellog Ave., Cincinnati, OH. The church is 5.7 miles away from the reception hall but takes 14 minutes to get there (we drove it in closer to 10 minutes).

This one is on the river but does not have a pool. They would only let me block off 25 rooms at a time, but once people start booking rooms, they will let me block off more. Therefore the sooner we book the rooms, the sooner I can block off more rooms and ensure everyone is at the same hotel. Price for a standard non-river view room is $115. There is a 10-15% discount on any room booked as a part of the wedding block.

I checked, and unfortunately the Reds are out of town that weekend. They will be back in town against Pittsburgh on Monday, May 24th at 7:10pm.

FLORIDA

Thank goodness for Mike. He's been getting me into the internet and now got me into the blogspot. Trying to get use to the new set up. Finding something new all the time. So far the only thing not so good is that Spider Solitare does not get as big on the screen as it did. I maximized it but it doesn't fill up the screen like it did before. But, I'm catching on to most of the things. Trip here was great until we got on the otherside of Atlanta and ran into what they call waves. We stopped in Lake City instead of Ocala because the stop and starting was getting to us which I'm glad we did because in the morning it was much better. It looked like everyone was heading back to Florida on Sunday. We had left at 4:00 in the morning, did great until after Atlanta and we stopped at 4:00 in Lake City. The weather was great tho. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, especially those of you that won't be here for the holidays. To Eryn and Mike have a safe trip traveling to your Paris trip. Hopefully the weather will ease up for your traveling. It looks like it will be o.k. for us, mostly rain. Also have a wonderful time there. Enjoy every moment. To all of you who will be traveling home for Christmas also have a safe trip. Debbie, we will miss you and the family, but I know that you all will have a great time especially with the little ones. So again to all a Very Merry Christmas.

Thank goodness for birthdays

Guess we've all been busy with the Christmas holidays, birthdays and end of year events to post anything on the blog. I hope everyone is having a good time. I'm ready for a trip home but that will have to wait until the new year. Looking forward to the holidays...am ready for it to be here so I would have to be finished shopping. Don't have much to say myself for now. For those of you having to travel, I wish for you clear roads, sunny skies and no traffic jams.

Its your time Conner. So Happy, happy birthday to you. Its hard to believe that you are now 16, able to drive and I guess you can get your license now to be on your own. I still remember going with your Mom driving through Krogers parking lot in New Albany. Those were the days.

Moving

Reese woke me up at 6:30 this morning telling me she was going to live with Aunt Barbie. Apparently she had a good time last night. Thanks Barbie. Jeff said he heard her at the top of the stairs crying because she had something on her PJ's (the fingernail polish) and didn't know how to get it out. She was sure she was in trouble. Jeff told her not to cry that everything was ok. She was also upset that she and Aunt Barbie didn't get to watch the Nightmare before Christmas. If you are missing the movie Barbie you left it in the car. We will hold on to it until we see you the next time. She wanted us to call you several times today to see if she could come to your house. We told her you were busy but that she would see you again soon.
