Thanks for all your support, thoughts, prayers, and food!

OK, so you see what it takes for me to make my first posting...

I want to thank each and every one of you for the support, prayers and compassion extended to the Nolan family through the recent events with my Dad. It's times like this when you recognize how important family is. And fortunately, we've been blessed to have fantastic families on both sides of the aisle - yes, including my Days in-laws! (I must still be in a state of shock - I can't believe I put that in writing. I'll come back later and delete this post and vehemently deny I ever acknowledged it! LOL!)

Sorry I did not have a lot of time to spend much quality time with you on Friday or Saturday. Too many distant relatives and friends who travelled long distances to be here. Had not seen my TX cousin since childhood, the Loogootee cousins (now spread across the U.S.) in 5 years - I know the Days will find that hard to believe!

Please know that your presence, concerns, thoughts and prayers were felt and appreciated. Also, thanks for the food provided on Friday at the funeral home, and to Cheryl for bringing it by. Mike/Chip/Drew, thanks for the use of the suit coat, saved us scrambling for a long-armed coat - we'll get it back to you for continued community use.

Dad's resting in good company. His grave site is two rows from your Dad's. Also, Angela's (Ron's wife) father's is also one row away from your Dad's. I can image my Dad's up in heaven "bending your Dad's ear" now - that can't be a good thing for me!

Thanks again. With love, Alan

I knew you loved us. Don't forget to start getting your thoughts together for the future so I can make sure I like it. I'm sure that you are right about them getting together and Doc telling him how everyone turned out. I know Doc will be missed by everyone that knew him and your eulogy for him was great. I'm very glad that your my son=in=law.Love Pat
