Great day for a run

Mercedes Weekend!!! A beautiful weekend it has been. To think we had snow on Thursday and in the 60's today. Yesterday was Haley and Will doing their last mile of the kids marathon. It was a great day for it. They did awesome. Rob ran with Will this year. You can only have a parent run with you through the 1st grade, so this was the last year he could do it with him. Heather ran with him last year. Rob did good also considering he was suffering from a cold. Next year is the last year Haley will be eligible, as the kids run only goes through the 5th grade. The only bad part about it is when a little one falls. Good thing is there are lots of officials there to help the kids, and you have to have a special ticket to claim your kid in the end.

Then today was Heather's half marathon. I was hoping to get her official time but they haven't been posted as of this writing. But she accomplished her goal of under 2 hours. Okay, had to come back and edit this...results were in by the time I finished writing this...1:58:49. It was freezing when they took off at 7am (sadly I did not make it to see her start) but by the time she finished it was quite comfortable out. Really a perfect day for a run.

So Mike when are you going to come down and run this. Or any of you other runners up there. The weekend (I know it is always valentines weekend, but you can make it a special get away for your honey) has a 5k on Saturday (followed by the kids run) if you only want a short run or the Marathon on Sunday.

Hope everyone is doing good. Good luck Eryn and Mike on your run and Polar Bear Plunge. If anyone can, would love to see photos of them.

Think warm thoughts...and I hope this weekend is the beginning of a beautiful spring.
