I'm ready. As soon as the holidays are over...then I'm ready for spring. The kids got a second "ice" day today. We sure as heck didn't get any snow...but we do have plenty of ice. It's clearing up some, Tom just made it into work although I'm sure he won't be selling many flip flops today. I'm working from home again. Just can't see wasting the time to go in when it's just not safe out there. I can get more done from home.
Mom, here's the update on Jake. Thought it was easiest to copy it from Facebook.
We had Jake's X-rays taken this past week and spoke to the surgeon. Everything continues to look great. We asked the surgeon specifically about his right leg. Honestly, I am 110% ok if it needs to come off, in fact, if it does, let's get on with it! BUT, his surgeon really discouraged us from even considering it right now. Believes there is still some chance. After his phone call, that night, I was rubbing his tummy and his RIGHT leg started responding!! Just a reminder to me never to give up on GOD, which means never to give up on Jake!! He still may lose it, we won't know yet, but still working it and praying. Therapy will most likely offically start next week, though of course we have been working with him at home. And his eye is looking great. Not evaluated to see if he has any sight, and of course it still looks a little messed up, but it looks like he will at the least keep it. He's doing awesome and we just love him to pieces!!! Thank you all for asking and praying and loving him, too!!
He's up to 717 followers now on Facebook. I love all our four legged pets, but some of these people are fanatics. They have a good video of him trying to walk. (in case you didn't notice, click on video in the last sentence). It just makes me want to go lift his backend up for him.
Hope everyone is doing good. Can't wait to see you all again...hopefully after it warms up.
