It sounded like people were starting to talk about travel arrangements to Cincinnati for our wedding so wanted to get the hotel information at which I have blocked off rooms out to everyone. There are currently 2 hotels. I have contracts with both (non-binding), and the deadline to book at both is April 1, 2010. After this, they'll open up the rooms to the public and they won't be guaranteed any longer.
Wedding is at Hyde Park Methodist Church at 1345 Grace Ave. in Cincinnati, OH. The reception is at A Touch of Elegance located at 5959 Kellog Ave., Cincinnati, OH. The church is 5.7 miles away from the reception hall but takes 14 minutes to get there (we drove it in closer to 10 minutes).

This one is on the river but does not have a pool. They would only let me block off 25 rooms at a time, but once people start booking rooms, they will let me block off more. Therefore the sooner we book the rooms, the sooner I can block off more rooms and ensure everyone is at the same hotel. Price for a standard non-river view room is $115. There is a 10-15% discount on any room booked as a part of the wedding block.

I checked, and unfortunately the Reds are out of town that weekend. They will be back in town against Pittsburgh on Monday, May 24th at 7:10pm.

I will go along with what ever everone else wants. I plan on going up on Friday back on Sunday unless people want to extend it to go to Kings Island and/or the water park. I need two rooms. As soon as someone says definetly which hotel I will call and book it.
Same with us, plan on coming up on Friday and back home on Sunday. 2 nights for us as we wouldn't be staying to go to Kings Island. Just one room for us. Barbie can make the reservation for us. Thanks Barb
Right now I'm pretty sure we will be staying at the Comfort Suites in Newport. Need to talk to Jim and Laura about it, but unless something changes, that is where we plan to stay.

Barb I'll check with Jeff regarding staying over for Kings Island. I know Reese would love it if you are up to it. We will go with either place. The pool would be nice for Reese but I don't really know if we would have time to use it.
