So what's been going on with everyone. Not much going on here. Still trying to lose weight. Can't blame it on my thyroid since I finally got it checked out and it is fine. I had very low blood sugar and vitamin D. According to the internet to get rid of the low blood sugar I need to eat sugar. Think that will help me lose weight. Guess I need to make sure I take my full dose of Caltrate + D. But the real solution would be to get myself outside and in the sun.
Our trip home Memorial day was uneventful. However, we were also very lucky. We decided not to stop at the Tennessee welcome center. The Stallworths, who were right with us at that point, went for the break. Two kids, two dogs, makes sense. Their little stopover cost them two hours just outside Goodletsville. Overturned semi blocking all lanes. Luckily they had stuff to do, but they did get hungry and thirsty. At least they didn't have to go to the bathroom though.
Then that Monday Heather was doing pull-ups as part of the P90X fitness routine she is doing. They had the pull-up bar bolted to the door frame. This hard plastic ring that supported it broke on her. I don't believe in law suits, but I think they would have had a case. That ring should not have broken. Haley saw her fall and ran out to get Rob who was cutting the grass. She finally went to the doctors on Wednesday (she did try for Tuesday but they couldn't fit her in...she promised to go to the emergancy room if she started feeling worse...Haley was reminded about 911). Turned out she did have a concussion, but all you can really do is keep an eye on here and not exert yourself much. I don't think she was happy about laying off working out for a week.
Update on Melissa. Her and Jeff went to Bama Jam last weekend. 3-day musical event out in some big field somewhere in Alabama. I think of it as a mini-Woodstock. Then they have another concert somewhere in Tennesse this weekend. I think they are camping out this time. Their hotel at the last one was so nasty, they kept shoes on to take a shower. At least camping you know what to expect.
Tom's pool team lost in their tournament last week. That was the chance for the free trip to Las Vegas. However they have one more chance this weekend. One of them was an 8-ball tournament and the other is 9-ball. Hopefully they will get further this time.
