I'm trying to decide what upgrades I need to get on my home computer. I have Microsoft Office Small Business 2003. But Barbie keeps sending me a spreadsheet in 2007, and my work computer has 2007, so I'm trying to decide if I should spend the money to upgrade. But I really don't like the 2007 version, but I know Microsoft could care less if I like it or not.
Then there is the operating system. Both my work laptop and the home pc are on Windows XP Professional (but different versions since the home pc has media center). The home pc has a free upgrade to Vista which I never utilized since there were so many complaints about it in the beginning. I can't upgrade the work laptop, I have to let them roll that out when they are ready. Should I try the free Vista upgrade or should I go to Windows 7? Any advice from those who know would be appreciated. I am sure Rob doesn't want to be coming over once I totally mess things up, so thought I'd ask for input first.

happy halloween
So what's everyone up to. Not much happening here. Just rain. Haley got a soccer game in Monday night. She of course was awesome, but I may be a little prejudice. She has no fear when it comes to being goaly. She has left with a footprint on he back. I just pray she doesn't really get kicked.
Since my sessions at Fitness Together are over I went and joined the Y. It literally took me 2 minutes to get there from the office. One of my old trainers works there now, so she is helping me. I just have to get my eating under control. Downloaded the Weight Watchers app to my phone it is helping me realize ehrtr zi sm mrddinh up. Trying to get back on track for the Mercedes in February.
Getting in the Christmas mood. Tom's actually getting a list together that isn't all movies. It's going to be here before we know it.

House for sale!
As quickly as Ican. Once again all of my basement contents are either upstairs or in the trash. It's amazing how much junk we can collect down there in just 2 years.
This backup of the sewer was the worst yet. Definite solid waste. It stayed at just a couple of inches as we think the sump pump kicked in to keep it down. Next step for me is to put a cap on the floor drain and one on the washing machine that I have to open when I do laundry. I think that means if the city does'nt fix the issue then it will either back up into the neighbors or go upstairs.
Monday the adjust comes, and the restoration people and the plumber. The engineer who is supposed to prove that it was the cities fault still has to call.

Hope your feeling better after your surgery and that everything will go good for the two of you now. Tried to call but your message machine was full and couldn't put anything on. So take care and will hope for the best. Luv Granny Pat

I guess I don’t really know the “proper” way to do this, but I care about all of you, so I want to keep you all updated on my life.
I wanted to let you all know that Alex and I broke up this past week. We really care for and love each other, but the situation we’re in right now turned out to be too much. I’ve been trying to keep it going because things are great when we’re together, and for the hope of a happy future together. But it’s worn me down, and gotten to the point where it just may not be worth it anymore.
Technically he was the one to break it off, but I had been considering it as well. We were just at an impasse. They way we viewed and dealt with the time apart was too different.
And yes, I’m doing okay. You all don’t have to worry about me.

I did it!
I changed the blog. I was tired plain orange. I also wanted to add a calendar, but couldn't find a "gadget" so this is just text. You all can add events that I have missed. I was going to put the wedding but figured there are too many events between now and then, 3 months is a pretty good period I think. If you don't like it you can change it back.
Planning ahead !.......for Gary and Rachel's wedding.
Not a Day strong point. Good thing we have out-laws.
Me and the kids plan on spending the weekend in Cincinnati. I like Cincinnati, and would like to spend some time there. I know Debbie is thinking of spending the weeked also, maybe more time, she is looking at Great Wolf Lodge for extended before or after (the indoor water park close to Kings Island). Beth mentioned the Cincinnati Zoo, which sounds good, the zoo is supposed to be one of the best I think. The Nolan's will be busy Friday night and most of Saturday. If we could get rooms by the pool at the hotel would be nice also.
Has anyone else thought about it yet, and what are you thinking? Beth said Gary is working on deals with hotels so it might help him if he knew what we were thinking. I know I will get two rooms. Since it will be just two nights I'm not really concerned with the price (prefer to keep it under $200 unless it is a place like the Opryland Hotel - I like to spoil myself occassionally).
Oh, Great Idea! Since we never know what to get mom and Paul because they pretty much get whatever it is they want, we can give them this for Mother's Day and Father's Day! Mom and Paul don't say no, because I'm excited now about being able to give you all something you will want and like.......I still want to go to Columbus and visit Gary and Rachel......and Germantown too. But that is after I make it to St. Louis. I really need to get control of my life so I can take trips easier.
So, Let's hear everyone's ideas and thoughts.

I second Mel's emmotion!
I didn't realize that Spanish would be so much work. You really need to constantly practice to know it. Then accounting being one 3 hour class a week, we get homework back the same day of test, so if you miss a point, chances are you are going to miss it on the test, which is what I did. ughh.
