You guys can tell I'm new to doing pics on here - but here are a few more from our little trip.
The water park had a big slide and the usual sprinklers and lazy river and basketball hoop - not real big, but good enough for the kids to enjoy when they'd had enough of mother nature.  And yes, the following pic does show me on a horse! Stayed on "King" for a whole 2.2 miles (longest 2.2 of my life!) - just kidding, me Conner, Wyatt and Cam all enjoyed the ride.  Todd had to stay back with Cole (he - Cole, not Todd - wasn't old enough for the horse trail, but he did get a pony ride!))

It's spring Break so we headed to Brown County for a one night stay.  Had a great time at the Abe Martin Lodge.  Really lucked out on the weather - got there Mon. afternoon and Todd, Cole. Cam and I headed out for a little (ha!) hike.  Conner and Wy were busy playing basketball at the lodge (cause you can't do that back home!?) We had fun exploring the trails and the view from this lookout tower was great!

We had a great patio room and enjoyed sitting outside - especially after going into town and filling our bellies with pizza and checking out the candy shops - Wyatt managed to find a lollipop that kept him entertained! Conner, as usual used his phone and iTouch for his entertainment - but at least he was outside!

We finished up the night with a rousing game of "Apples to Apples' and hit the sack totally exhausted after the day of hiking and swimming at the indoor water park.

EASTER

I'm sure everyone knows that Easter is at Sherry's this year. Same as usual. See you all there. Make sure we get some family pictures this year too.

FAMILY REUNION

Just a short note to tell all that the Day Family Reunion is scheduled for Sunday August 23rd in Lanesville. Just letting everybody know now in case they want to plan for it. Will remind again later. Mom

Clogs

Pat, Reese tried on the clogs. The orange (11) fit better than the others. The 10's will work for now but if her feet grow very fast they won't last long. The multi color which I loved were big but I'm sure it won't be long. She liked them as well and said they were fine. Jeff said he could get a thumb behind her heal. It is so hard to decide on size with these things because they all run different. Thanks so much for getting them. As you know, Reese wears them year round.

Good to see everyone today. Love you all.

back to normal

Well, I think I am finally getting back to normal. I went to Disney with a bad case of vertigo. Not the ideal vacation for something like that. I skipped the rides the first day because it was really bad. But a good nights sleep (from exhaustion) and they pumped me full of dramamine so I was okay the rest of the time. I also learned if you keep you eyes closed the whole time, rollercoasters are fun and you can keep the vertigo at bay. I think Haley could have stayed on the Tower of Terror all day. Her and Melissa road it 3 times. She loves the roller coasters.

After going down there with vertigo, I came home with either extreme allergies or a mild cold. It had me down and out until Thursday. I still have a cough which is driving me crazy. But at least my head doesn't feel like it's going to explode anymore.

Now that Barb is about done with her project, I am already gearing up for our Tax release. The IRS has decided to keep me very busy this year. Thing is everything right now is just preliminary. Nothing is really official for another month or two, but I can't wait for that.

Cheryl, I don't believe I'll be able to make the trip this summer. The economy isn't helping and Tom and I still have to get a trip out to see his sister asap. We were hoping for the end of April but Tom has been given a bunch of black out dates that he can't take for vacation. So we are hoping for May. Maybe the snow will be gone in Wyoming by then...I can only hope. She's already done with her chemo(?) and they have her on some other treatment now. Can't remember what it was though. She seems to be fighting the cancer very well though considering she was in the 4th stage.
Enough of that. Hope everyone is doing well. Love and miss you all.

Hi All

Not much going on with us. Reese finished up another swimming class but can go to the next level until she does a front and back flip. She starts her next class April 6th.

Jeff has been working a lot as usual. He puts Reese down at night and ends up falling asleep with her. I haven't been waking him up because I know he needs the rest.

Rees and I are going to my Moms on Monday for the week. It is Reese's spring break and we need to spend some time with my Grandmother.

Mom, Reese and I are leaving for FL on April 23rd. We are going for Shawn's 50th birthday. We will also spend some time at the condo in Miami. Jeff will fly into West Palm on May 2nd and we will spend a few more days with Shawn and then we will all go to Disney for Reese's birthday. She is so excited. She tells everyone her birthday is May 6th and she is going to Disney and then asks if they want to go with her. We will be home on the 8th or 9th of May.

Barbie and Debbie I am still looking for trips for June. With everything going on in Mexico I don't know if we want to think about it at all now. I am still trying to find something in the Dominican. Prices are much better if we go before July. I will let you know when I find anything else.

Jeff and I decided not to get Reese's biological half sister. I have talked with the foster family who have her a few times and they seem like good people. They are in the same situation Jeff and I were when we got Reese so we feel for them. We don't know if Zoe will have problems due to being addicted to crack and another drug or not. We do know she went through withdraw. She was 7 weeks early and isn't on track in regards to holding her head up. If we were to get her we would have to go through the fostering program because she is in the custody of the state. That would take several months and would only allow the foster family to become more attached. They are in their 40's and unable to have children. Jeff and I discussed how upset we stayed during the time we were trying to get Reese not knowing if she would be taken away from day to day and we couldn't do that to another couple. When I talked with the foster father, Dana, he cried when I told him we wouldn't take her away from them. We have agreed to stay in touch and tell the girls when they are older and the time is right. We are still going to have a paper drawn up by an attorney stating they will send pictures, allow visits, and let the girls have a relationship if wanted. We also told them if something stopped them from adopting her we would take her.

It was a hard decision for Jeff and I but in the end we think it was the right one. I just hope Reese feels the same way when she is old enough to know about it.

Reese and the little boy (age 7) next door played out tonight making "poop". They were very enthused about it. They both were covered with mud when they went in for the night. Reese said she loved to get dirty.

Nothing else going on with us. Hope everyone else is doing well.
Love you all.

Busy, Busy

Still trying to recover, catch up on work, and get back in the swing of things from our Disney trip. It was a wonderful trip and had the best time. Posted this picture in case anyone is needing a laugh. Yes that is me a 28, almost 29, woman crying when she met Cinderella.

This weekend Jeff and I are going to visit his parents in Albany, Ga. We are all doing a MS walk on Saturday. His youngest brother was diagnosed last year but he is doing great, so we are walking for him.

That is about all though hope everyone is doing well.
Love to all.

HOW ABOUT SOME NEWS

I know I don't know much of whats going on, but I'm sure everyone has something to say. I understand from Mike that Jessica is doing o.k. after her surgery and is at home. Laura has went back to school this week. This is Tom & Deb's anniversary. Tomorrow is Paula's 50th. She probably wouldn't like me to broadcast it. I've been eating out a lot lately. Retirees last Wednesday at Picadillys, Thursday Tripoli at Joanne's and lunch at the Onion Restuarant. This Wednesday Birthday Dinner for Norma, with Jeannine, Joanne and Marilyn at the August Moon and today lunch with my Reunion Girls Committee at the Antique Mall, the Colonade. Isn't that interesting. Come on Jim, an I'm O.K. from you. Gary, Laura, Charly, Lissa, Heather, Anna,Eryn and all the rest of you that we do hear from time to time let us know what's going on.
