Happy Belated birthday to Grampaul! Rob had a good one, I guess, even though we laid sod all weekend.
Even though much has not been going on with us, I've still been checking the blog - guess we're all having a lazy summer, which is kind of nice, I guess.
Haley starts school next Thurs, so I guess our summer will be over soon. Still can't believe she'll be in 2nd grade. She's taking jazz and 2 days of gymnastics this year. So, we're taking a break from tennis and soccer right now. Will will be starting t-ball this fall, so that will be new for him.
Hmm ... what else has been going on. I told ya we're boring right now. Rob is re-designing my website. Nice having a web programmer for a hubby, I guess. I've been working on Christmas designs. I had almost 400 orders last Christmas, and 300 the year before, so not sure what to expect this year. It's been nice having a break though.
Puppies are growing like weeds. Precious and sweet. Jake is 28 lbs now and Lexie is 26 lbs. She loves going to mom's lake. Jake is just my big cuddle bear. They are 15 weeks now, hard to believe. The kids are a huge help, especially Haley, so I'm glad we got them during the summer.
Well, not much going on. I'm just running 3 miles every other day right now, though I want to do more once Will is back in school in Sept. We'll be on the cruise in October, so my next mini won't be until the Merecedes in Feb.
Ok - need to get ready to go to the pool and enjoy our last lazy week :) Hugs to all!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ROB
Sorry Rob, meant to get this off yesterday, but Happy, happy birthday.
Hope your birthday was a good one. I'm sure Heather made sure it was.
Luv to all, Granny Pat and Grampaul.

12 weeks
Til the Louisiville Marathon. Means no slacking off now. I will do better on this one.
The past few days have been stressful. I'm trying to get Tax ready for distribution, which of course the government hasn't finalized all the Tax forms yet, but it looks like only the 1042-S (for foreigners) has major changes. I really needed to work this weekend. But I made the mistake of working downstairs and plugging my laptop into a normal outlet, and we had a power surge. So it is now on it's way to Little Rock and I am fighting with my home computer to make it work until the other gets replaced. Every 10 minutes it's asking for my proxy info and no one can figure out how to make it stop. I figure I don't have a static IP address and that's probably causing it. Just guessing, I'm not good at that stuff.
Not much else going on. Heather and Rob laid sod all weekend. Tom helped on Sunday. I fought with computers. Haley starts back to school on Thursday. She told me she's excited and can't wait. I wonder how many years that will last. Heather said Haley just got a free book from the library for reading over 1500 pages this summer. She loves to read.
That's it. Going back to work.

"Itly" and Port Folk
Tuesday was a day for goodbyes! Jim was scheduled to return to "Itly", leaving Tuesday about noon. FedEx showed up with his Visa at 7:30 A.M., so all was well. He knew it was coming, but until it did, I'm thinking it could have been a little unnerving. Alan was in Atlanta Monday and Tuesday, so he and Jim said their goodbyes on Sunday (not near as emotional as my goodbye Tuesday at the airport - Jim had to suffer through my boohooing which I tried to prevent, but just not gonna happen that way!) Hope your trip was uneventful and you can "find your groove" (not sure what that actually might mean, but I just mean for you "to settle in to whatever works for you")!
Alex left this morning for his assignment at Port Folk (okay - really it's Fort Polk, but someone has trouble saying that...) His family gathered last night for pizza and goodbyes, so I got a few more hugs out of that one, and didn't embarrass myself with boohoos - love you, though, Alex! Laura said he is in Arkansas tonight, as he planned, and will arrive in Louisiana tomorrow, giving himself a few days to unload his U-Haul and settle in to his apartment. Here's hoping it will be better than he is expecting!
Laura informed me that sometime during the night Alex's Dad had to be taken to the Emergency Room. It seems that the blackberries I took to their house last night to share (fresh-picked from my neighbor's garden that morning) caused an allergic reaction. He knows he is allergic to some fruits and other foods, but now he knows he is also allergic to blackberries. Maybe I'm a little embarrassed, but surely didn't mean for THAT to happen!

Happy 16th Birthday David again. Had trouble getting on internet or I would have had this on yesterday when it was your birthday. Had to get Grandpaul to get me on. Anyway, hope your day was great. Luv ya, Granny

Finally Done :)
Mom I feel for you. Ours use to go out a few times a year thankfully they replaced it. Also today is NOT a good day for it to go out it was one miserably hot day. At least you still have down stairs.
We did have fun at the McWain Center. I think the Dinosaurs Live was meant for a little older children but I enjoyed it and enjoyed being with Mom and Will. I actually saw a lot of my students there guess it was McWain Day.
I just finished my portfolio for my Intern class HOORAY!!! The only thing I have left to do it take a Progress Test for my computer class on the 29th and then I will have my associates. I just have to remember to send in my form to get my diploma. Then it is continuing on to UAB for my Bachelors. Will it ever end? I don't feel like it.
Please keep Jeff in your prayers. He is having trouble with work and may be looking for a new job soon (long story- think my fingers would fall off typing it). Hopefully it will all work out okay. His boss is suppose to be coming in tomorrow from GA and meet with him at 9. We will see.
For all you runners out there you would be so proud of me. I have always wanted to start running again and I am working my way back in. I am starting out slowly though. I am speed walking 3 miles everyday, well trying to speed walk:) It takes me about an hour to do it but eventually I would like to start running some, but I am taking my time and want to start out walking and walk farther before I start running. Maybe I will get to do a marathon with everyone. Mom said she really wants me, her and Heather to do one together for her birthday next year and I hope to do that for her.
Hope everyone is doing well talk to you soon. Lots of Love.

I need AIR!!!
Over five years of not taking care of the AC I finally got them serviced last month. So of course today one of the units goes out. I guess it was a good thing it was my upstairs one, so it is still cool downstairs. I'm turning off the computer, turning all ceiling fans on high and have a floor fan going. I don't think it's been out long but I have a high tolerance for heat. But it is even too hot for me and I know it's not good for the computers. Guess I'll be making a call and get in line for service. I just hope it doesn't put too much of a strain on the downstairs unit.
I guess I haven't been doing much either...mostly working. I did take off Thursday night to go to Diva night at Fleet Feet. I won a free pair of tennis shoes (worth about $100) and a gift certificate to Newks Cafe Express. I've never been there, but it reminds me of Quizno's, with more to offer.
Me and Melissa took Will to the McWain Center Saturday. We tried building a race car but it stopped half way around the track and we couldn't get it going again. Made the mistake of seeing Dinosaurs Live. Too much of a documentary and it mostly showed skeletons with very few animations. But Will said he had a good time. I think he just likes the attention and all the spoiling.
time to go downstairs now and cool off.

Lots of people busy doing nothing!
Seems we are all very busy doing nothing.
We are reorganizing the project at work again as we go head in to the 4th phase of the project "Testing". My current team is still in the "Build" phase. After the 3rd phase of telling them we need to be staggered behind the rest of the project, management has finally realized it and unhooked our tasks from the completion of the phase. Okay, they finally couldn't stretch the truth enough to say we were done with Build. I lead the Website team and it is pretty hard to put a front end on a back end that keeps changing.
I still have the Process and Development for CS (the website Customer Self-service) but they have released my useless co-lead and merged my team with CI (Customer Interaction - the people you get when you call in or go to an office) and I will have their 2 co-leads assisting. Our two teams have to mirror up on a lot of the processes so it makes sense. Their E.ON co-lead use to be a member of my team so she will be able to help me out a lot with the business decisions. Enough about work, but I think my hours should be going down to 45-50 hours instead of 55-60 so I'm hoping to get out more.
I missed the NPC reunion on Friday but I made it to the Bats game. We lost, but it was a good game with some good plays. Todd, they were giving away Bats hats and I got one but I don't wear baseball caps if you want to throw it in one of your machines. I also have a Jay Bruce figurine they were giving out before we got moved up and started doing so well if anyone wants it. Don't think you can put it in a machine. We have 2 more Friday night games, and I hear at the next one they will be giving out black Bats hats.
Went the Nascar Built Ford Tough 225 Truck race yesterday. The trucks spin out a lot more than the regular cars. I got an Aarons Dream Machine hat if anyone wants it or if you want it for a machine. It was very hot. Blood Sweat and Tears played. Apparently they are having a 40 year reunion. I don't know how many of them were from the original group but would that put them like close to 70. Not that it's bad to be 70 mom, but to be playing in a rock band?
I need to get moving and quit blogging. Everyone get blogging and tell us what you are not doing :o)

Where is everyone?
So I thought I would finally write something on here, nothing is to new with me. I've been working a lot, swimming, seeing movies, playing tennis. David just started playing tennis with us the other day, he is pretty good for only playing a couple of times. I also get to work with David on Friday at the Spag Shop, everyone at work says he is doing really good and he enjoys it too.
Everyone should go check out the new Batman movie, last night my friend Alliee's sister's boyfriend is the manager at the theater, he has to put the film together and watch it so he invited us to go, it was our own private showing. Anyways it was awesome the whole thing was action packed, its quite long 2 hrs and 40 minutes it never gets dull thats for sure.
Other than that Mike's little brother Chris and his girlfriend just had a baby girl Phoenix Aryianna last Tuesday, she was 6lbs and 6oz. she was born with a hemangioma on her left thigh about the size of a golf ball they weren't going to remove it but her blood platelets dropped to 18,000 and normal blood platelet count is 180,000 - 300,000 so they did surgery on Tuesday and removed the hemangioma and her blood platelet count is now up to 130 so she is doing better and should be released today!
So what has everyone been doing? Any plans for the weekend?
Talk to everyone soon!
